Think about this very carefully, this could be so someone you care about, This is a crime. Being disabled and then having to deal with a social landlord bullying you and your family,yes that right a social landlord that bullies its vulnerable tenants, i know that amicus do this as i myself have suffered at the hands of amicus horizon, 6 years of hell, the full story will come out . my partner had a call from a police officer today saying that they are still investigating amicus horizon for suspected unlawful acts, i will be lobbying some of our new politician, to sort out the mess at amicus horizon,
as this can not go on . still waiting for lord c. falconer to shape up amicus horizon [he is our chairman] i think he must be to busy spending all the cash we pay him, to worry about Graeme and lisa,well i care about you two and i will help out .Please anyone with any influence out there, pull some strings for us. Hi I know this family and the conditions they have to live with are appalling and Graeme is always in a lot of pain, I have seen the repairs they have done in the past if they were mine I would have taken them to court for damages and would have won a lot of money the condition of the house makes life very difficult and they should be ashamed of themselves (amicus Horizon) I mean,this is worse than a racial attack they soon get help just say racial and everyone bends over backwards shame on you disability should come first.
ReplyDeleteI really need help today I am in so much pain but I am still waiting for Hastings police to come and take my complaint I`m getting by on tramadol and diazepam but the police will not challenge or investigate Amicus Horizon any more than Hastings council will. I will video every meeting but unless I can get some support from sites like this my situation will get worse rather than better. I can barely move today I have spent the last 5 years fighting Amicus for myself or other residents if you would like to help me leave a comment and ask sussex police why they do not consider disability discrimination a crime... If I was a victim of a racial attack they would act so fast yet disability discrimination is far more devastating.

ReplyDeleteNo you are not alone in this I've got to pay £400 a month for a house i can not live in, that's not right can you see a private landlord getting away with that ,council tax is being collected by rother district council, bit dodgy me thinks, doe's this reflect on our chairman Lord C. falconer.
Its you the public, who are paying for this out of your stoppages in your wage packets report Amicus if you think this is wrong.
BENEFIT FRAUD?
ReplyDeleteIt is a fact proven by records kept by East Sussex County Council and Hastings Borough Council and by records that must by law be kept by Amicus Horizon Housing Corporation and the Department of Works and Pensions and by Quarterly and annual statements in my possession that between the months of November 2005 and March 2010 and continuing that our landlord Amicus Horizon has benefited from the payments of differing amounts of benefit payments paid for on behalf of the tenant of the property referred to in the allegations and that it is not plausible that Amicus Horizon did not have the expertise to automatically realise that they were overcharging the claimant for property/services for which they were charging the rent. It is a part of my allegation that Amicus Horizon must have been fully aware that they were collecting money on behalf of the claimant for property that they knew he could not inhabit or use, or use safely because of defects/health hazards and/or dangerous installations. They have been aware at all times since the tenancy began and the rent charge was applied that they were demanding money for property/services to which they were not entitled and that by their actions they were committing an act of fraud or causing the claimant to commit or abet them in committing an act of fraud or gaining a pecuniary advantage and that during the entire period they made no attempts to apply any of that income to bringing the property/services that they were charging up to a standard that would justify the charge.
No attempt has been made by Amicus Horizon to refund any of the monies demanded and received for any of the above to the benefit claimant or the government agencies contributions to them on behalf of the benefit claimant and that the obvious knowledge of Amicus Horizon that they were not entitled to the amount that they were demanding over such a long period of time despite numerous enquiries to them by the benefit claimant regarding benefit fraud it is my allegation that they have committed an act of deception and/or pecuniary advantage against the benefit claimant and those agencies contributing to those payments on his behalf.
It is also my allegation that Hastings Borough Council had a civic duty to set the rent of the property referred to in the allegations on behalf of the tenant and the agencies responsible for contributing to those rent charges and that Hastings council has by their actions/failures/refusals aided and abetted Amicus Horizon to benefit from public funding that they had no proper legal right to demand or keep.
It is also a part of my allegation(s) against Amicus Horizon (who control over 28,000 properties) and Hastings Borough Council that it is extremely unlikely that this is an isolated or unique occurrence and that Hastings Council who vigorously investigate private individuals/tenants for benefit fraud have by their failures/assumptions allowed Amicus Horizon immunity from investigation procedures/checks, prosecutions or other penalties that Hastings Council would automatically apply to any other individual or private company who they suspected might be profiting from overpayment of benefit payments.

ReplyDeleteI have at last received a reply from the Equality and Human Rights Commission who have advised me on where I am right and where others are wrong. They have advised me also on Obligations of Public bodies under the Human Rights Act and I have asked Liberty to assist me in regard to these matters.
They have sent me quite a long reply too long to post here and pointless really as Hastings Council, East Sussex County Council and Amicus Horizon probaby are all familiar with their obligations to Disability discrimination laws. Their first recommendation is that I contact the police which I have done again today and I have forwarded a copy of their response and the EHRC reply to my solicitors.
